Remoissenet Pere et Fils, Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes 2019

Selected (purchased) fruit from Charmes. Positioned mid-slope similar to Chambolle Amoureuses, this plot’s soil is very thin, with the “mother rock” of Burgundian limestone just inches from the surface. Average age of vines: 30-50 years. Aged in French oak barrels (350L), with approx. 50% new barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine shows aromas of black cherry, mocha, peppery spice. Suave and persistent on the palate; floral notes. Very long finish.
