Domaine Castagnier, Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2022

A rich deep darker crimson. A slightly gamey reduction, reflecting a long slow malolactic here. Fresh raspberry and redcurrant behind, building in energy very well on the second half of the palate. Still a little firm at the finish, but with some promise. Drink from 2032-2040. Tasted: December 2023.
