The licorice and lively red fruit-scented 2002 Chambertin Clos de Beze is a gorgeously powerful wine. Medium to full-bodied, expansive, intensely concentrated, and chunky, this gem also appears to have loads in reserve. Copious quantities of spice-laced dark fruits can be discerned in its intense personality. Its exceptionally long finish reveals perfectly ripened tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2017.
