Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux, Nuits-St-Georges Les Poisets 2019

This vineyard which sits on the south side of the village was hailed in 2018, so was pruned short in 2019 to aid recovery. Older vines here. More red than purple, the bouquet starts quietly then soars, with a savoury red fruit note and then some pure old tea rose aromatics as well, not just sensual but beautifully nuanced. Some white pepper here and then savoury again behind some light fresh cherry. A little orange blossom. Noticeably longer finish, a very svelte and beautiful Nuits-St-Georges. Tasted and rated 5 stars by Jasper Morris in November 2021.
